It was during the winter of 2016, and it was a trip that taught me a lot. I travelled to Mumbai with my partner at the time, and halfway through the trip we almost broke up. Imagine the situation... We continued our trip together as we had originally planned, but the truth is that when we returned home, we broke up for good. I'm telling you this because, even though I experienced some very dark and bitter moments during that trip, I remember it fondly, apart from the fact that India is a country that leaves no one indifferent. It is a place of extremes, where every day, throughout its course, I was overwhelmed by a lot of contradictory emotions. It taught me a lot, and one of the most beautiful things I learned there was to welding and crimping minerals in my pieces.

LEARN JEWELLERY MAKING IN INDIA

For several weeks and in different places in India such as Hampi, Pushkar and Arambol (Goa), I learned from authentic Indian jewellers how to set stones on some pieces I had brought with me on my trip, as well as how to decorate them with braiding and make different jewellery techniques.

That journey and those lessons opened up a world of possibilities, and I brought back semi-precious stones, tools and materials with which I continued working.

OTHER IDEAS THAT CAME UP DURING THE TRIP

Even the idea of the design of the Spoon or Fork logo I was born in India, and the idea came to me when I saw a sarong with an elephant with a tree growing out of its back. I don't know how, but I imagined it and visualised it. The idea of a fork that turned into a tree. I made some small sketches, and the logo designer, Mar García, knew how to work her magic to represent the idea with the finesse and elegance of the current logo.

I hope you enjoyed this story!

Best regards!

And thank you very much for reading and being here.

Los viajes provocan cambios y nos hacen crecer a pasos agigantados Hoy os quiero hablar de mi viaje a India, fue durante el invierno de 2016, y es un viaje que me enseñó mucho.
