This necklace is a unique piece created by recycling an antique 800 silver teaspoon and giving it a new life as a whale tail-shaped necklace decorated with a yellow-green microplastic collected from the coast of Menorca, set in silver with a flat silver thread.<\/p>\n
It is a design created with great awareness, love and respect for the sea, the oceans and their life. That is why I think collecting the non-natural waste that ends up there and transforming it into jewellery is a wonderful idea to raise awareness about this huge problem that affects not only the Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n
The silver tone combines beautifully with the colour of the microplastic, and the whale tail pendant gives the piece great symbolism and meaning.<\/p>\n
It is a piece created with awareness and presence, a piece of jewellery as unique as you are, whose design is inspired by the strength symbolised by the oceans. That is why 5% of all the designs I have combining recycled antique cutlery with microplastics will be donated to marine associations on the island.<\/p>\n
