Amethyst mermaid tail necklace

This necklace is a unique piece created by recycling a silver-plated teaspoon and giving it a new life as a whale tail-shaped necklace decorated with blue microplastic collected from the coast of Menorca, set in silver with a flat silver thread.

It is a design created with great awareness, love and respect for the sea, the oceans and their life. That is why I think collecting the non-natural waste that ends up there and transforming it into jewellery is a wonderful idea to raise awareness about this huge problem that affects not only the Mediterranean Sea.

The silver tone combines beautifully with the blue of the microplastic, reminiscent of the crystal-clear waters of the Menorca coastline, and the whale tail pendant gives the piece great symbolism and meaning.

It is a piece created with awareness and presence, a piece of jewellery as unique as you are, whose design is inspired by the strength symbolised by the oceans. That is why 5% of all the designs I have combining recycled antique cutlery with microplastics will be donated to marine associations on the island.

MEASURES

The pendant measures 1.6 cm wide x 1.6 cm long and is the smallest whale tail pendant model available.

Amethyst 0,5cm diameter.

The chain I paired with this pendant is 40 cm long, but if you prefer a different chain, just let me know.
