Descripción
Handmade ring created with the handle of an antique silver 800 silver dessert cutlery, turned in a spiral shape giving this original and unique design. Being handmade, all the pieces have something that makes them special and unique, either by the details of the cutlery itself, by the twist of the ring itself or by the length of the handle reused to create it. In this case the symbolism and meaning of this ring goes even further, as it is fused with an orange microplastic which is the main feature of the jewellery. It was found on the coast of Menorca and is set in silver and soldered to the surface of the handle of the old silver plate which has been transformed into jewellery.
It is a design that fits both men and women, as the design of this ring allows the size to be altered, being the size 26 to which it is created, so if it were to be adjusted to a smaller size the spiral crossing of the ring would be larger.
This ring has been created with a lot of conscience and love and respect for the sea, the oceans and their life, that's why collecting the unnatural waste that reaches them and transforming it into a jewel seems to me a very nice idea to raise awareness about this big problem that affects not only the Mediterranean Sea. For this reason, by wearing a unique jewel with a microplastic set in it, it makes it a jewel that has a great symbolism and meaning.
That is why all of my 5% designs, which combine recycled antique cutlery with microplastics, will be donated to marine associations on the island.
It has a matte finish, so if you want your ring to be shiny, please mention this when placing your order.
If you want to obtain this design by reusing another type of fork of another material, details or with one of your family, or to make the order with a microplastic of another colour, make a personalised order and we will carry it out together.
