Everyone is drawn to gems, right?
We know that they have been used in ornamentation and as symbols of power for thousands of years. But these crystals were valued for more than just their beauty: each one had a sacred meaning. In ancient cultures, their healing properties were as important as their ornamental value. Among their attributes, some minerals help with channelling, providing balance, bringing abundance to the wearer, healing and/or therapeutic properties, and even in love rituals.
Crystals absorb and transmit energy effectively. One of their functions is to cleanse and transmute negative energies, which is why it is necessary to clean them so that they do not become saturated.
But where do minerals come from?
A crystal is a solid body with a regular geometric shape, created when the Earth was formed and which have continued to metamorphose as the planet has changed. Thus, crystals are the DNA of the Earth.
The use of minerals in Ayurveda as a medical treatment has been practised for hundreds of years. Ayurveda is the name given to traditional Hindu medicine. Its philosophy is based on the unification of body, mind and spirit to find balance, based on the balance of the doshas (kapha, pitta and vata), which in their unbalanced state cause disease.
According to Ayurveda, the minerals increase the potency of medicinal plants.
That is why not only precious plants are used in supplements, but also minerals and medicinal herbs in a synergistic combination.
Several years ago, I created the Equilibrio collection
You can see it in the Collections section. It was a very beautiful collection created in search of the balance of the four elements, and I represented each of them with a mineral: Earth (tiger's eye), Water (labradorite), Air (moonstone), and Fire (sunstone).
Balance is in everything and everyone; it is a necessary value, like Yin Yang, the balance needed to find stability and harmony between our body and our being, between nature and humanity. That is why our subconscious, our ecosystem and ourselves need to find our own balance in order to have a healthy life, both mentally and physically.
To create this collection, I have designed six necklaces for each element, all of them different. They are unique pieces created with silver cutlery, stone settings made by me in silver and combined with silver chains that I bought during my trip to Sri Lanka this winter, whose creations represent Balance.
If you like any of these designs, even though they are all unique pieces, you can write to me and I can create a customised one for you, or if you have another stone, I can also create one with yours.
